OK2BME - Services for LGBTQ Youth and Their Families

Supporting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning Youth (LGBTQ) and Families

OK2BME offers free, confidential services for LGBTQ youth ages 5-18 and their families.

Services and community supports include:

  • LGBTQ-positive Individual and Family Counselling
  • LGBTQ Social and Recreational Youth Group
  • Trans/Gender Questioning Youth Group
  • Professional Consultation and Collaboration
  • Public Education and Training
  • Support establishing Gay-Straight Alliances

Referral Process: Referrals can be made by individuals, a variety of professionals (teachers, guidance counsellors, youth workers, etc.) or by contacting 519-884-0000.  Services can also be accessed through our Walk-In Counselling Clinic.

Fees: Services are provided at no cost for youth who identify as LGBTQ, kids of LGBTQ parents, their families and supporting agencies in Waterloo Region. Services can be delivered at schools or in the community.
