Exploring the Future of Parenting Education

Parenting is a life-long journey. We don’t always know where we’re heading or how we’ll get there—but we’re learning, every step of the way. Innovations in education and technology are changing how we live and learn…so let’s not leave parenting behind!

As a parent, a caring adult, or someone who is not yet a parent—

How do you want to learn about supporting & nurturing the children in your life?

This is the question at the heart of our new project, Exploring the Future of Parenting Education—Parenting Now, Parenting Tomorrow. Over the next 18 months, we want to connect with you and, together, re-imagine the way we provide parenting education.

We’d like to hear your ideas. Here are four ways you can help us.
You can participate in any or all of them—your choice!

  1. Join us for a Stakeholder Lab.
  2. Chat with us at local festivals and public events during the summer.
  3. Fill out an online survey here.
  4. Click here to attend our Parenting Education and Resource Fair.

Take Our Survey…
…tell us how you like to get parenting information, how satisfied you are with the various methods and what other methods you would use, if they were available. The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. You can enter a draw for a $25.00 gift card to Tim Horton’s. Click here to begin!

We dig in and work with your thoughts and ideas.
We call this Design Thinking. Through design labs and workshops, we’ll explore your ideas, create prototypes, and test them for their usefulness. Your input during this stage is vital to us.

What’s Design Thinking??
Design Thinking is a way of exploring creative solutions to current problems, with the intention of a better future result.

Scott, an involved uncle says:
As an uncle who is active in the lives of two nieces, I’m very interested to see the prototypes this project will result in.”

Our end goal is to bring forward a fresh, new approach for delivering parenting education.

We don’t yet know what that will be, but we are committed to ensuring that the new approach will be:

  • Available when and where you need it
  • Fits with what you have told us you need and want
  • Captivates your interest
  • Proven effective

Join us and make a difference—in parenting now, and parenting tomorrow!
