Once again, we are pleased to bring four award-winning comedians to Waterloo Region. Join us for an evening of hilarious improv comedy featuring:

Jordan Armstrong is a music educator, multi-instrumentalist and composer. She is the musical director of the Second City in Toronto and can be seen and heard performing regularly as one half of musical comedy duo Death Ray Cabaret and as the musical director for the spontaneous musical show Improv Karaoke. Jordan has worked with world music and dance ensembles Samba Squad and Ballet Creole, the Toronto Fringe Festival (People Suck, Shakespeare’s Ghostbusters), One Night Only (2016 Dora nominee, best musical direction) and the Canadian Comedy Award winning production The Adventures of Tom Shadow. Dale Boyer is an award winning actress and published playwright. A Drama/Speech Communication graduate of the University of Waterloo. She’s been featured in comedy festivals in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Toronto.

A few TV and film credits include Workin’ Moms (CBC), Layla & Jen (CBC), Squad (PBS), Man Seeking Woman (FX), Suits (Showcase) and “Sunset Channel” a short film currently in the festival circuit. Upcoming appearances in Smashable Inc (Family Channel) and How to Buy a Baby (CBC).

Writing credits include the official adaptation for “George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead Live” that went on to win five Broadway World Awards including Best Play. Currently she is a playwright in residence with The Festival Players with the female driven play “Clotheswap”.

Dale also currently writes and co-hosts “Hype Night” (Amazon Prime US & UK)- a weekly series which celebrates women in Canada and produced the equally popular webshow “Vito’s Basement” (HighBallTV). Dale has also been in more than 50 Canadian and US commercials. (OMG that is like, so many).

 

Kevin Matviw has been performing improv and sketch comedy in Toronto for the past thirteen years. Past performance credits include: S#@t My Mayor Says, Best of the Second City and The Dysfunctional Holiday Revue for The Second City National Touring Company and The Best is Yet to Come Undone as an understudy for The Second City Mainstage. He has been featured in various commercials on TV and radio and can be seen improvising on the Food Network’s hidden camera show Giving You the Business. Kevin’s work has been featured in Canada’s National Post, the Canadian Comedy Award winning sketch troupe The Sketchersons and Cracked.com.

 

Reid Janisse is a Toronto based actor, writer, director, and improviser.  He is an alumnus of The Second City, where he wrote and performed in four mainstage revues including the Dora nominated Second City for Mayor and the Canadian Comedy Award winning Barack to the Future and 0% Down, 100% Screwed.   With Ross Petty Productions, he has appeared in the holiday pantomimes Snow White, The Little Mermaid and Cinderella. Over the years, he has performed in countless improv shows including The Bad Dog Theatre’s Theatresports and One Night Only: The Greatest Musical Never Written, which won The Audience Choice Award at the 2016 Doras.   With Montreal based Mad Science Productions, he created and performed in thousands of comedic science shows throughout North America.  Television credits include American Gods, Orphan Black, The Ron James Show, Odd Squad, The Stanley Dynamic, How to be Indie and Connor Undercover.

 

Kirsten Rasmussen is an award winning comedian known for her larger than life characters and physicality. She is alumni of the Second City Toronto Mainstage, a teacher/director and performer at Bad Dog Theatre. Kirsten’s work has been seen on the screen in Dino Dana, OddSquad, The Beaverton and Schitt’s Creek. She performs and tours regularly with her comedy duos, K$M with Matt Folliott, and The Bloody Marys with Leigh Cameron and her solo sketch shows FULL TIME IDIOT and Kirsten, Get Some Friends which won Just For Laughs Pick at Montreal Sketchfest and Patrons’s Pick at Toronto Sketchfest respectively.
